Call Girl 18
A tense thriller inspired by a real-life scandal in the Swedish political establishment, Call Girl is set in 1970s Stockholm and uncovers a seedy world where young girls are lured into prostitution and exploited by powerful men from the highest echelons of society. Told from the perspective of teenagers Iris and Sonja, the film exposes political intrigue, hypocrisy and the contradictions of 1970s sexual politics.
"An extraordinarily sinister atmosphere of hypocrisy and corruption spreads like damp up a wall: this is a society in freakish denial."
