Coriolanus, a feared Roman General is at odds with the city of Rome and his fellow citizens. Pushed by his ambitious mother to seek the position of Consul, he must win over the masses to secure votes. When this fails, he is forced to ingratiate himself with his sworn enemy.
Fiennes’ directorial debut retains Shakespeare’s language, but reimagines the story as a tense political thriller, tackling timeless themes of power, manipulation and prejudice.
Please note: the screening on Monday 30 January at 11am is a Kino Bambino parent and baby screening.
