Gill Booth was a founding member of Sheffield Film Co-op, a group of 1970’s feminists trying to reach women through film.

Diamonds in Brown Paper follows a group of ‘buffers,’ women who worked polishing cutlery and silver and who had a notorious reputation in their brown paper leggings. Lively, dramatic episodes give an insight into some of the issues surrounding their working lives.
