A mysterious hitchhiker travels across the desert landscape in Namibia, preying on those lonely souls who are unfortunate enough to cross paths with him. After leaving her abusive husband, troubled housewife Wendy Robinson flees into the desert and encounters the hitcher, only to discover the truth behind his façade, that he actually is The Dust Devil, a shape-shifting demon intent on possessing the souls of the lost.
