Sensoria is the UK’s annual festival of music and film, featuring film screenings, live performance, exhibitions and talks. It celebrates the musical talent in the region and has welcomed many Sheffield musicians and guests from Jarvis Cocker and Richard Hawley, through to hot new band The Hosts. The festival is known for its innovative use of unusual venues and locations across the city; from screening films and hosting conference days and events at the Showroom, to screening films at Sheffield Cathedral, Butcher Works, City Centre urban screenings (A Wall Is A Screen) and an underwater sound system at Ponds Forge olympic diving pool.
Following a highly successful second year, Sensoriais back in April 2010 for its third edition. Having welcomed guests from Nitin Sawhney to Mark Kermode, and enjoyed many sell out shows, 2010 is set to present an even headier mix of screenings, live performance, live art, exhibitions, events and much more.
The next Sensoria Festival is taking place 23 – 29 April 2010. Tickets are on sale now - to see what's on, simply navigate through the Diary from 23-29 April clicking titles for tickets. Alternatively, call the Box Office on 0114 2757727.
