A special launch event for an exciting new project, Sheffield Youth Film Clubs, which will establish 10 Film Clubs for 13-19 year olds across Sheffield.

The project is a partnership between Showroom WorkstationSheffield Futures' programme Sheffieldr and Into Film, all of whom will be in attendance at the launch event. Sheffield Youth Film Clubs is supported by Film Hub North, led by Showroom Workstation, part of the BFI Film Audience Network.

Registration opens at 10.30am and the event will end around 3pm - lunch is provided. 
The event includes a screening of Shane Meadows’ Somers Town starring Thomas Turgoose and Piotr Jagiello.

In the afternoon there will be two panel discussions around the topic of programming with and for young people. Speakers include: 
Joan Parsons, Senior Programmer – Showroom Workstation, Sheffield
Hannah Higginson, Engagement Project Producer – Watershed, Bristol
Mike Tait, Discovery Coordinator – DCA, Dundee
