Jurassic World 12A
More than two decades after Steven Spielberg’s groundbreaking original we return to Isla Nublar, now a dinosaur theme park, albeit with declining revenues. To attract more visitors, over-zealous operations manager Claire Dearing (Howard, THE HELP) introduces the genetically created Indominus rex, whose appetite for devouring almost anything that moves is insatiable.
The giant mutant dinosaur escapes to wreak havoc and cause panic amongst the tourists – which include Dearing’s young nephews (Ty Simpkins and Nick Robinson). It falls to the park’s lead behavioural scientist Owen Grady (Pratt, GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY) to try to save them, and to protect a group of small velociraptors he’s befriended. With Spielberg on board as executive producer and an arsenal of stunning special effects, co-writer/director Colin Trevorrow boldly elevates the franchise into breathtaking new territory.
