Antonioni directs the style and destruction of wealth and romance in this capturing Italian drama. Vittoria, a literary translator, leaves her writer boyfriend and heads off on her own,  but she is soon to find love again with a stock broker, Piero. Much like the stock market, their relationship has highs and lows and is constantly tested. A love affair that sparkles and burns across beautiful Rome.
