Support Your Showroom

Showroom Cinema has offered independent films to Sheffield audiences for nearly three decades. That’s something we’re immensely proud of. As Sheffield’s original and leading independent cinema, it’s our duty to deliver a diverse programme of films that entertain, educate and inspire.

But the Showroom is more than just a place to see films. Our charitable activity includes supporting filmmakers at all levels of development, platforming marginalised voices through a unique programme and presenting bespoke screenings in a safe space for protected groups.

This is vital, if costly, work. As part of registered charity Sheffield Media and Exhibition Centre (no. 1002020), Showroom Cinema relies on grants and donations for over 50% of its revenue.

As a registered charity, we need your support to enable us to continue to offer a wide range of opportunities for this community. Every donation, no matter how large or small, is gratefully received.

How can I support Showroom Cinema?

Help Showroom Cinema replace our film projector

After nearly three decades of presenting independent films to audiences in the Steel City, Showroom Cinema is asking for support to replace their oldest digital film projector with a new, more energy-efficient laser projector.

A new projector is an investment that will last over ten years, helping the indie cinema to reduce their power usage and reduce their carbon emissions by over 1.1 tonnes of CO₂ per year.

Buy a DVD from the Showroom Video Shop in our Box Office kiosk and support our Projector Fundraiser appeal.
