Sleeping Beauty U
In a faraway land, long ago, there lived a King and his fair Queen. Many years they had longed for a child, and finally their wish was granted. A daughter was born, and they called her Aurora. They named her after the dawn, for she filled their lives with sunshine. After being spurned by the royal family, a malevolent fairy places a curse on the Aurora which only a prince can break, along with the help of three good fairies.
Adapted from both the Charles Perrault and Brothers Grimm versions of the classic fairy tale, with beautiful wide screen visuals, memorable music (adapted from Tchaikovsky's ballet,) Sleeping Beauty’s characters and medieval landscape were the last to be made using hand-inked cells.
