Troubadour Rose
Troubadour Rose songstress Bryony Afferson has written her debut film score for the film Strawberry Fields showing on 23 July. They will be performing in the bar after the film.
From a chance meeting at Pinewood Studios, a Troubadour Rose demo fell into the hands of director Frances Lea. After loosely syncing ‘Labour of Love’ to the opening shots it became clear that Troubadour Rose had, without knowing it, had written the song for the story of Strawberry Fields.
Lea had been on the hunt for a female composer who could help tell Gillian’s story and having trained as an actress, Afferson was able to combine her skills in both disciplines, producing a highly original score borne from the hearts and motivations of Lea’s characters.
Troubadour Rose are very excited to be accompanying the film’s release tour around the UK. They will launch the featured tracks ‘Labour of Love’ and ‘Find an Arrow’ as a double A-side single on 19 July at the Hackney Picturehouse.
