Celluloid Screams festival passes now on sale!

Sheffield is gearing up for another fright-filled weekend, 22-24 October, with the second Celluloid Screams festival held at the Showroom Cinema. Festival Director, award winning filmmaker and horror aficionado Rob Nevitt is currently hunting down the latest and greatest in horror from across the globe to ensure this year’s festival is even bigger and better than last year’s.

The lineup is currently top secret, but is set to be an international horror spectacular with more guests, exclusive screenings, blood, gore and mayhem. A limited number of festival passes are now available for £50 – horror fans are advised to book early to gain access to every film and every fright across the weekend.

Last year’s audience was truly horrified by 30 films over three days, many screened for the first time, including the UK premiere of Paranormal Activity which went on to become a global phenomenon. 2009’s festival also hosted the UK premiere of American cult horror movie, Neighbor. "Once again, the Celluloid Screams team are putting together a weekend of entertainment that will thrill, shock and terrify,” says Rob Nevitt, “This year's festival will showcase a world of horror beyond the norm and fans of strange, unique and fantastical horror cinema will not be disappointed."

The search continues for features and shorts for the festival in October. The deadline for submissions is 31 July.
