BFI Film Academy selects Sheffield participants

Posted 25 October 2013

17 young people aged between 16 and 19 have been chosen to take part in the 2013 BFI Film Academy here in Sheffield. The course will be run by Meabh O' Donovan who delivered last year's successful academy. It will take place over several Saturdays from 9 November until the end of January. The youngsters will get a taster of all aspects of the film industry from discussing films to editing them and everything in between. They'll make short films whilst on the course, meet industry insiders and they'll showcase their work to friends, family and industry professionals at the end of the course.

This year we're hoping some of the participants will want to apply to one of the specialist BFI Talent Academy's which take place around the country, so watch this space for news of that.
