A Different Man 15
Showing as part of Audio Description
Aspiring actor Edward (Sebastian Stan) undergoes a radical medical procedure to drastically transform his appearance. But his new dream face quickly turns into a nightmare, as he loses out on the role he was born to play and becomes obsessed with reclaiming what was lost.
This darkly funny and surreal thriller is another brilliant collaboration between writer-director Aaron Schimberg and actor Adam Pearson (Under the Skin) following 2019’s Chained for Life, with shades of David Lynch and Charlie Kaufman whilst being wholly unique.
A Different Man was nominated for the Golden Bear at the 2024 Berlin International Film Festival and Sebastian Stan won the Silver Bear for Best Leading Performance. Co-starring Renate Reinsve (The Worst Person in the World).
