Korea has long been the home of some of the most electrifying cinema and this latest offering from The Good, the Bad, the Weird director Kim Jee-woon is no exception. Set in 1920s Korea - when the country was under Japanese occupation - The Age of Shadows is a slick espionage thriller about a Korean captain, Lee Jung-chool (Song Kang-ho: incredible as ever) working for the Japanese police who is tasked with the job of infiltrating a group of resistance fighters.

An exhilarating mix of noir, historical drama and spectacular action sequences, with one of the most extraordinary train scenes in the history of cinema.
