All the King's Men is a political drama that chronicles the rise and fall of Willie Stark, a small-town lawyer turned populist politician in the American South. Initially, Stark campaigns as an idealistic reformer, vowing to fight corruption and serve the people. However, as he gains power, he becomes increasingly corrupt and ruthless, embodying the very forces he once opposed. The story explores the philosophical themes of power, ambition, morality, and betrayal, as Stark’s actions deeply affect those around him, including his aide Jack Burden, who struggles with his own ethical dilemmas

This film is part of our Philosophy at Showroom series and will be introduced by a philosopher from the University of Sheffield.
