Showroom Classics: A Room With a View PG
Across the festive period, to celebrate the release of new documentary Merchant Ivory, Showroom is shining a spotlight on this iconic filmmaking team with two of their most well known and loved works.
When Lucy Honeychurch (Helena Bonham Carter) and chaperone Charlotte Bartlett (Maggie Smith) find themselves in Florence with rooms without views, fellow guests Mr Emerson (Denholm Elliott) and son George (Julian Sands) step in to remedy the situation.
Meeting the Emersons could change Lucy's life forever but, once back in England, how will her experiences in Tuscany affect her marriage plans?
Adapted from the classic novel by E. M. Forster, the supporting cast also includes Daniel Day-Lewis and Simon Callow.
Earlier in the month, from December 20 you can also see Merchant Ivory’s The Remains of the Day on the big screen as part of Showroom Classics.
