Clare is a forthright young backpacker with a taste for architectural photography. While exploring Europe, she crosses paths with a charming and well-mannered native Berliner called Andi: the pair start a sumptuous affair, but Andi’s passion quickly manifests itself as a sinister obsession. At the height of their romance, Claire finds herself locked inside his impenetrable and isolated apartment.
A relentlessly claustrophobic study of the kidnapper-captive relationship, with moments of genuine terror, expertly juxtaposed with points of honesty, romance and softness.
