Conducted mainly in Spanish, this interactive event has been designed with the ‘Media’ aspect of the Spanish specifications in mind in order to assist students with their understanding of film to aid their preparation for the written exam paper. We will be looking at a variety of suitable short films and clips from feature films of Spain and other Spanish-speaking countries. Students will have opportunities to extend their vocabulary and strengthen their listening, speaking, writing and translation skills in activities linked to the films discussed. In the afternoon, there will be an introduced full-length screening of the award-winning comedy Campeones (Javier Fesser, 2018), followed by a Q&A. A resource pack including interactive activities will be available on the day.

Led by Dr Lidia Meras, Visiting Lecturer and Spanish Tutor, Royal Holloway, University of London.

Confirmation of booking will be sent by email to the named contact: this should always be the teacher leading the group. You must acknowledge receipt of the email confirmation; this enables us to know the booking is correct. This confirmation also serves as receipt and must be brought on the day of the event. Lunches are not provided. If you have any questions, please call the above number, or email Linnea.

If you have to cancel your booking, please let us know as soon as possible as often we have waiting lists for events. If you inform us up to 14 days before the event date, you will be given a full refund. If not, there will be an administration charge levied, based on the number of students attending.
