Celluloid Screams 2021 passes have sold out.

We're very excited to welcome the Celluloid Screams: Horror Film Festival back to Showroom Cinema. The 13th edition of the much-loved festival takes place between Thursday 21 and Sunday 24 October 2021. You can see the full programme line-up below.

Each year, the festival showcases a diverse lineup of films, from the hottest new horror features and genre discoveries to terrifying short films from the fearmakers of the future. The annual programme also includes a small selection of the classic films that made us fall in love with horror in the first place.

Founded in 2009, the festival has become a destination for horror fans seeking the very best the horror genre has to offer. In its 13 year history, Celluloid Screams has premiered high-profile films such as Paranormal Activity, Mandy, The Witch, The Void, The Autopsy of Jane Doe, Goodnight Mommy, The Editor, Psycho Goreman, Raw and The Endless (to name but a few) and has an ongoing commitment to showcasing emerging genre talent.

Festival passes

A Celluloid Screams festival pass gives you access to all festival during the festival. Passes normally sell out very quickly so please expect the website and the Box Office team to be very busy once passes go on sale on Saturday 18 September at 1pm.

We will be operating at 50% of normal capacity to allow for social distancing and you will be allocated a specific seat throughout the duration of the festival. Please take a look at the safety measures we will be adhering to. Group bookings will be limited to a maximum of 6 people.

Purchase your pass online
To book online, just click on the 8pm screening time on the right and you'll be taken through to our secure payment page. After you have made your booking, you'll receive a confirmation email - please bring this with you to our Box Office, along with the card you used to make the booking, and you'll be issued with your festival pass. Festival passes will be available for collection from the festival desk on Thursday 21 October from 4pm.

*Please note, proof of concessionary status will be required when festival passes are issued.

Seat allocation

  • In a slight change from last year, you will not select your seat(s) when you buy your pass. Seats will be allocated by the Showroom box office team according to group size in each booking and these will be your seats for the duration of the festival. By doing it this way, we will be able to maximise the number of passes we can make available, whilst maintaining social distancing measures.
  • There will be a maximum of 6 passes per transaction.
  • If you plan to sit with friends, we strongly advise booking your passes together in one transaction, so that your group can be seated together.
