Showroom Summer Season
Join us for a series of weekly talks over the summer featuring some of Sheffield’s most esteemed academics from both Sheffield Hallam and the University of Sheffield. Each week we will delve into a new area of cinema circling the globe with a 45-minute talk and discussion.
All the sessions are being run by the academics in their own time to help keep Sheffield’s film community connected while the Showroom is closed. Each talk is free and open to everyone to attend. All the academics ask for in return is to let them know if you enjoy the session and consider making a donation to help us re-open when we can.
Confirmed speakers include:
1 July – Ana María Sanchez-Arce: Almodóvar’s Photographs. Find out more and book your place here.
8 July – Kate-Taylor Jones: Gender, Sex and Class in Modern Korean Cinema. Find out more and book your place here.
