A Better Sheffield offers a spotlight on a new wave of activists building local economies, making the most of Sheffield's great outdoors and reviving its reputation as a city of makers. Against the backdrop of austerity and uncertainty, these social, environmental and cultural innovators are searching out new spaces in Sheffield where changes can happen. They are doing it themselves using new technologies and entrepreneurial models, with a fierce concern for social justice and fairness
