  1. Patrescence 15 minutes

Angus Kille tries to make an E9 first ascent in the last few days before his daughter is born. Bringing this route to life parallels his journey of becoming a father (Patrescence). Follow his journey with the route, how to train for bold climbs, his thoughts on being in the waiting room of fatherhood and how his wife, Hazel Findlay, feels about the ascent and the risks involved.

  2. Finding Freedom - Stories from Refugees Rock 23 minutes

The asylum system in Britain is fraught with complexity. Vulnerable people seeking safety in the UK must navigate a bewildering legal process that could trap them in limbo for years. At Climbing Hangar centres across Britain, refugees can climb for free at a dedicated monthly session. It is a space to learn new skills, find freedom in movement and build a climbing family. We follow the Refugees Rock crew on their first walking and rock climbing trip to Snowdonia, summiting the iconic Moel Siabod. Around the fire in Llanberis Pass we share songs and stories, and talk about what it means to find a home.

  3. The Parkinson Project 53 minutes

This documentary follows climber and teacher, Chris Hamper, as he navigates his diagnosis of Parkinson's disease. His Parkinson's diagnosis has forced him to redefine his passion for climbing. His tremor makes tying knots and clipping gear difficult; his lack of dopamine reduces the reward and motivation process, forcing Chris to find new ways to stay inspired. And yet, once he is on the rock, climbing appears to be one of the very few activities that minimise his symptoms. Now, eight years after his diagnosis, Chris is potentially coming to the end of the “honeymoon” period of his Parkinson’s. This means he could start to see the effects of the disease more acutely, including the impact it may have on his ability to continue climbing. Knowing this, Chris has taken early retirement from teaching to climb as much as possible around his home in Norway and with friends in Sheffield.
