Cow 12A
Cow is the much-anticipated latest film from acclaimed British filmmaker Andrea Arnold, her first documentary feature and first film since 2016’s American Honey. Shot with a hand-held camera, and frequently at the animal’s eye level, Cow documents the daily life of Luma, a cow on a working dairy farm. An immersive and powerful film, Cow is captured in a deeply empathetic and unwavering gaze. Like Viktor Kosakovsky’s recent Gunda, which follows a sow and her piglets, Cow is an intimate and poignant exploration of Luma’s life. A heartfelt and thought-provoking documentary from one of the U.K’s most interesting contemporary filmmakers.
