Cries And Whispers 15
Viskningar och rop
Happy families are not often found in Bergman’s films, and Cries and Whispers features perhaps the most poisonous and unremittingly bleak example. The story uncovers the trauma of a painful history shared by Agnes, who is dying of cancer, and her two sisters, Karin and Maria, who return to visit her in her final days. Cinematographer Sven Nykvist expertly captures anguish in the face of death, filling the screen with deep blood reds.
