Welcome to our new late-night binges of cool, cult and classic docs on the big screen.
On Friday 9 June, we start with a truly colourful cult double-bill pairing the eye splurge, ear pop David Byrne concert doc ‘Contemporary Colour’ with the musical maestro’s wild 1986 directorial debut ‘True Stories’; a hybrid of small town mockumentary and weirdo musical in the age of shopping malls… featuring a singing John Goodman.
On Saturday June 10th power, politics and post-truth are woven, debunked and seismically lumped into almost three hours of Adam Curtis’ mental stretches for an after-dark screening of HyperNormalisation.
