Doc/Fest 2019: No Data Plan
UK Premiere
In this unusual travelogue, filmmaker Miko Revereza is an unnoticed passenger crossing America on an Amtrak train. Through subtitles, his thoughts dwell on his mother’s difficulties back home. His gaze shifts between the carriage interiors to the bleak landscape and the smokers alighting at each stop. We hear intermittent one-sided conversations, building a picture of others whose immigration status, like Revereza’s, is precarious.
