It's no secret that being LGBTQIA+ in today's society can be incredibly challenging, and yet, some of our most beautiful connections and experiences come from being LGBTQIA+.

To honour ourselves and our queer ancestors, Frit Tam will be taken us on a 30-minute somatic practice - Focalising, followed by fun, expressive craft, and creative activities to celebrate our precious and powerful lives.

Focalising is a transformative healing practice designed to help participants unblock emotional and mental barriers caused by conditioned thinking, traumatic experiences, stress, depression, or challenges related to intimacy.

By resolving these blocks, Focalising unlocks a deeper connection to your inner self, empowering you to experience greater well-being, joy, and a renewed sense of possibility. The 60-minute creative portion of the workshop will be open for you to express yourself in whatever way feels good for you, for example, zine-making, poetry-writing, illustrating, painting. Art supplies will be provided, but please do bring your own supplies if you would like to. No experience needed.

Frit Tam is a British Chinese, award-winning documentary filmmaker, speaker, zine-maker, writer, somatic healer and futurist. He is qualified in a form of somatics called Focalising, and specialises in holding space for underrepresented communities. He also recently became the co-director of Sheffield Adventure Film Festival and potato is his favourite food.
