Everything Went Fine 15
Everything Went Fine had its world premiere at the Cannes Film Festival in 2021. It starts when Emmanuelle (Sophie Marceau) receives a phone call that turns her life upside down and leaves her facing an unfathomable decision. Her father André has had a stroke at 85, Sick and half-paralyzed in his hospital bed, he asks Emmanuelle to help him end his life. A myriad of emotions rise to the table delivered beautifully by Marceau. Reaching a decision to help her father she begins the complicated process, and we follow her as she jumps through bureaucratic hurdles to follow through on her fathers wishes. With a surprisingly light and calm tone despite a conflicting topic, Ozon shows his skill and craft as a mature filmmaker.
