Winner of the Silver Bear Award in Berlin Film Festival, Felicite is the heartfelt story of a woman’s struggle to save her son. Loosely scripted but performed with a gripping intensity and realism, Felicite is a beautiful film that is loaded with energy.
Felicite is a singer in the Democratic Republic of Congo. When her son is hurt in a motor accident, she must use every resource she can to fund his recovery. What follows is a story of both hope and despair, lifted by the bubbling energy of Sengalese street music and a remarkable performance from Vero Tshanda Beya.
