This special lecture from Maisha Wester (The University of Sheffield) is part of the Political ‘ Purgatories: American Politics in Horror’ season. The season will trace filmic depictions of America’s class, racial, and religious tensions to consider how Horror films have been warning us for decades of the dire predicament now at hand.

This lecture will include discussion of the previous week’s film, The First Purge.
