Fireworks, Should We See It from the Side or the Bottom? 12A
Fireworks takes place over the day of an annual fireworks festival in a sea-side town. For 14-year-old Nazuma, this might be her last time seeing the fireworks, as her mother is set to remarry and move her away from her school and friends. Seizing the opportunity, two classmates, Norimichi and Yusuke, compete to secure a date to the festival with Nazuma, by way of a swimming race. When Yusuke is the victor, Norimichi is left wondering what his fate could have been if only he could do things differently…
From the team that released the incredible Your Name, Fireworks is full of breath-takingly vivid art, spectacular voicework and a mesmerising soundtrack that make for an unforgettable experience.
