Cinema Palestino: Foraging Walk with Social Pickle 18
Before and after our Cinema Palestino screening of Foragers, join local fermentation and preservation project Social Pickle for a foraging walk around the Showroom area inspired by the idea of "Foraging as Resistance".
Do you know the legislation and history of access in your own city? In the short walk around Showroom, we will reflect on how this access to land and what grows on it affects a country’s populations and communities. We will consider what we can learn by observing and researching the plants that grow around our feet, as well as discovering the edible, medicinal and material potential in even the most unassuming stretch of land.
Places are limited, so please reserve a free place by booking online or at Showroom Box Office; Social Pickle suggest making a donation to Medical Aid for Palestinians (https://www.map.org.uk/), the Union of Agricultural Workers Committees (https://uawc-pal.org/), or Palestine Action's Legal Defence Fund (https://palestineaction.org/defence-fund/) in exchange for your ticket.
Walks will last up to one hour. Please contact Box Office with any further enquiries about the walk.
