Four Lions 15
Four British Muslim men living in Sheffield decide to push their abstract dreams of terrorism into an ill-conceived plan of farcical proportions. The incompetent young men decide to wage Jihad by learning, and failing, to become suicide bombers. After a disastrous trial at a training camp and a really unfortunate crow, the misfits head off to the London Marathon in ridiculous costumes ready to bumble their way through their ridiculous plan.
In what could’ve been a terribly misunderstood film, it turned into an instant British classic full of quotable lines and what follows is a laugh out loud, witty black comedy full of explosive mischief. Four Lions is a right of viewing passage for any Sheffielder, both new and old. Be ready to spot all your favourite Sheffield locations.
