Goodluck To You, Leo Grande is a British sex comedy drama which held its premier at the 2022 Sundance Film Festival,following Nancy Stokes (Emma Thompson), a 55-year-old retired teacher and widow who embarks on a journey of self-discovery after a disappointing marriage. Yearning for some adventure and human connection an apprehensive Nancy hires a prostitute, Leo Grande (Daryl McCormack) to fulfil her mental and physical desires. Over the course of three rendezvous, the power dynamics shift, and their well-worn masks begin to slip. A wonderfully funny, real and open film which respectfully allows space for female sexual liberation and empowerment. An uplifting story that challenges expectations and hosts great chemistry between Emma Thompson and Daryl McCormack.
