Greed (Baby Friendly Screening) 15
A scathing, farcical satire, telling the story of self-made British billionaire Sir Richard ‘Greedy’ McCreadie (Steve Coogan), whose retail empire is in crisis. For 30 years he has ruled the world of retail fashion – bringing the high street to the catwalk and the catwalk to the high street – but after a damaging public inquiry, his image is tarnished. To save his reputation, he decides to bounce back with a highly publicised and extravagant party celebrating his 60th birthday on the Greek island of Mykonos.
This entertaining mockumentary reveals a hideous carnival of obscene wealth, vanity and moral squalor, directed by prolific filmmaker Michael Winterbottom (24 Hour Party People, The Trip) and starring British film & TV heavyweights including Stephen Fry, David Mitchell, Steve Coogan and Shirley Henderson.
