When heavily pregnant Maria returns alone to the remote country house, she has no idea of what secrets are lurking within. Faced with the feeling of an unnatural presence, Maria begins to investigate strange occurrences that make her more and more anxious. As her contractions begin, Maria is left fighting for her life and that of her unborn child.Shot entirely in one take, Home Sweet Home - Where Evil Lives is a master-class in tension and taut filmmaking.
The film will be supported by the short What a Catch by local filmmaker Thomas Pickering. On a late-night trip to the lake, a Victorian fisherman's evening takes a sinister turn.
