Set in 1892, Christian Bale is US Army captain Joseph
Blocker. Ordered by his superiors, Blocker must escort a dying Cheyenne war
chief, Yellow Hawk (Wes Studi) and his family back to tribal lands. The journey
from New Mexico to Montana is gruelling, and the threat made all the more real
when the group find a young widow (Rosamund Pike) whose family has been
murdered by Comanches. Unsure of where the danger will come from next, the two
must work together to complete their journey alive.
From the director of Crazy Heart and Black Mass, Hostiles is a brutally powerful Western that explores the violence
at the heart of the American soul.
