House of Gucci 15
In House of Gucci, Ridley Scott’s adaptation of Sara Gay Forden’s 2001 book, we follow the turbulent marriage and divorce of Patrizia Reggiani and former head of Gucci fashion house, Maurizio Gucci. Set in 1995, the film follows the events around Maurizio’s death, with Patrizia accused of hiring a hitman to dispose of her ex-husband.
One of two Ridley Scott films in 2021 (see The Last Duel), House of Gucci marks Gaga’s first film since A Star is Born, which earned her both Academy Award and Golden Globe nominations. A sensational family drama of murder and high fashion, House of Gucci is a glamourous look at the underbelly of Italy’s most famous fashion house.
