I Go Gaga, My Dear + Director Q&A 18
In
this surprisingly funny, quietly moving and deeply personal documentary,
director Nobutomo Naoko turns her camera on the everyday routines of her aging
parents. Along the way she documents the development of her mother’s Alzheimer’s,
showing both the bright and dark sides of her parents’ life together.
I Go Gaga, My Dear is the filmmaker’s touching tribute to her parents, as well as an utterly captivating portrait of ageing in Japanese society that manages to be both intensely intimate and universal at the same time.
We’re honoured that Director Nobutomo Naoko will be joining us for an in-person Q&A after this screening.
