This masterful work comes hot off the festival circuit, winning the Audience Award at Berlinale 2017. Set amongst the horrors of civil war and unrest in Syria, Insyriated focuses on two families lead by a strong-willed matriarch. Surrounded by turmoil, she is determined not to be driven from the home they have built. This taut thriller deftly addresses how a middle-class family copes with conflict seeping into their domestic space. A harrowing look at life in a city under siege, and a triumphant portrait of female resilience.
