Interstellar, directed by Christopher Nolan, is set in a near-future dystopia where climate change is causing the planet to be uninhabitable. To survive, humanity must find a new planet to live on, and the story follows the astronauts that undertake this mission.

In my talk, I’ll be exploring the multiple ethical dilemmas the film poses around duty, self-preservation, and honesty. I’ll also be facilitating a more exploratory discussion around the film’s depiction of love and humanism. - Rose Weetman, University of Sheffield
