This new, screen adaptation of Louisa May Alcott’s celebrated fiction work Little Women is a refreshing take on classic literature. Adapted for screen and directed by Greta Gerwig (Lady Bird), this bold retelling is both faithful to its beautiful source material, and strikingly original.

Following the lives of four sisters, Amy, Jo, Beth and Meg, as they come of age in America, during the aftermath of the Civil War. Though determined to live their own lives, on their own terms, the March sisters stand by each other through difficult and changing times.

Starring an incredible cast of fresh young faces, including Florence Pugh (Midsommar), Saoirse Ronan (Lady Bird), Emma Watson (Beauty and the Beast), Eliza Scanlen (Sharp Objects) and Timothee Chalamet (Call Me By Your Name). And including acting-heavyweights like Meryl Streep (The Post) and Laura Dern (Twin Peaks), this is a superb Oscars shoe-in.
