In his final leading role, the great Harry Dean Stanton is the fiercely independent 90-year-old atheist Lucky.
Having out-drank, out-smoked and out-lived his contemporaries in his off-the-map desert town, Lucky is experiencing something of a later-life crisis. The directorial debut of acclaimed actor John Carroll Lynch, Lucky is a cinematic love letter to its legendary leading man Stanton, as well as a deeply felt meditation on mortality, loneliness, spirituality, and human connection.
