Monsters and Men 15
The aftermath of the shooting of an innocent black man by a police officer ripples through the lives of three men. Told in three parts, through three different pairs of eyes.
Manny saw the police officer shoot, he filmed it on his phone. His footage started a movement, but everywhere he goes two police officers seem to follow. Dennis works at the police station, he sits and watches the attitude of his co-workers towards the shooting of an innocent man, he wonders what they would say if he was shot. Zyrick is a young high school athlete with a big future in front of him. Galvanised by the recent movement following the shooting he must decide whether to use his new-found platform and speak out or stay quiet and conform.
Monsters and Men is an uncompromising and powerful story, reminding us of the importance of unity and empathy in troubling times.
