‘I have written to you several times but there is no one I can trust to take my letters to the mail. She is away from the house today. That’s why I am able to write this. For weeks I have been ill. Fevers, terrible headaches, but she watches me like a hawk. Believe nothing but this, she’ll ruin me. She’ll ruin everything.’ Treading in the footsteps of Rebecca, My Cousin Rachel is an eerie Cornish mystery thriller adapted from a 1951 novel by Daphne du Maurier. It tells the story of a young Englishman who plots revenge against his mysterious, beautiful cousin, believing that she murdered his guardian. But his feelings become complicated as he finds himself falling under the beguiling spell of her charms. Passionate trysts, crashing waves, wind-swept moors, spooky spine- tingling femme fatales and Gothic tales aplenty.
