New World 18
New World is the second feature from writer-director Park Hoon-jung, the writer behind haunting South-Korean revenge thriller I Saw The Devil. In New World, Hoon-jung’s writing prowess comes through with a high-octane crime thriller that will keep you guessing until the final minute.
Lee Ja-sung is a police officer who has spent years undercover in Goldmoon – South Korea’s largest crime syndicate. When the chairman of Goldmoon suffers a mysterious death, Lee Ja-sung finds himself trapped between two worlds. His new ranking is an opportunity to launch the New World operation and take down the dangerous criminal organisation, but tensions are high. Lee swoops up the ranks, torn between his honour as a policeman, and the fiercely loyal gang members who will follow him to hell and back.
