Lara Pawson discusses This Is the Place to Be, a stark, compassionate and fragmentary memoir exploring identity, violence, race, class and sexuality across continents. The book has had rave reviews, has been chosen as Book of the Year 2016 in the New Statesman and was shortlisted for the Gordon Burn Prize, the PEN Ackerley Prize and the Bread and Roses Award. Lara will be in conversation with author Rachel Genn, creator of The National Facility for the Regulation of Regret.
