Persona 15
An actor who has suddenly stopped speaking is taken to a cottage on the remote Swedish island of Fårö to spend a summer under the care of a nurse. Long-time Bergman collaborators Liv Ullman and Bibi Andersson work with cinematographer Sven Nykvist to tease out subtle moments of soul-deep emotional torment through some of cinema’s most striking images. Prepare to be mesmerised.
Our screening on Friday 11th May will feature a special introduction from Pia Lundberg, Counsellor of Cultural Affairs at the Embassy of Sweden.
