One of the greatest films ever made and a masterwork which changed the horror genre forever, Psycho returns to cinemas with this stunning 4K restoration. An adaptation of Robert Bloch’s novel of the same name, the story follows Marion (Janet Leigh) young secretary on the run with $40,000 stolen from her employer, hoping to start a new life with her lover in California. Wracked with guilt and increasingly paranoid, Marion takes refuge at a motel when a storm takes hold. There, she meets the proprietor, Norman Bates, a quiet, unassuming man, who harbours a terrible secret.
Controversial at the time of its release but now considered one of Hitchcock’s best films, Psycho is a masterpiece of suspense, featuring impressive camerawork, brilliant lead performances, and an unforgettable score from Bernard Herrmann.
